Pet Friendly Apartments for Rent

Landlords and Pets

The struggle is real when it comes to finding apartments that allow pets – some Montrealers even claim that it’s harder for them to find pet-friendly apartments than it is to find a job. This is especially true due to the boom in pet owners throughout the pandemic. Despite the fact that there are more pet owners than ever, many landlords won’t budge on their rules because of a fear of property damage and noise. The landlords who do allow pets will usually charge extra fees making it harder to find affordable housing for you and your furry friend. In hopes of making this process a bit easier, we’ve compiled a list of a few pet-friendly apartments for rent in Montreal at different price ranges.

Plateau Mont-Royal Condo

Rent: $2250 / month

This one-bedroom apartment in the heart of Plateau allows small pets and includes a good amount of space for both of you to live comfortably. One of the best features is the private outdoor courtyard. This space is perfect if you’d like your pet to run around or just get some fresh air.

Another great aspect of this apartment is the location. You’ll be near Sir Wilfried Laurier and La Fontaine Park which both have their own dog parks. There are also quite a few pet stores around the area such as Canine & Company and Animal vert.
